Privacy

No cookies, no tracking, no forms.

This page explains what happens to your data when you read Beachcombing Rules by State. The short version: we do not ask for any, and the site works without cookies.

What we do not collect

Server log files

Like every website, ours is delivered by a hosting and content-delivery provider. To send you a page and to keep the service secure, that provider briefly processes technical details of each request: your IP address, the date and time, the address of the page you asked for, and the browser and operating system your device reports. We do not combine these records with other information and we do not use them to identify readers.

If you email us

When you write to [email protected], we receive your email address and whatever you choose to tell us. We use it only to answer you, and we delete the conversation once the matter is closed unless you ask us to keep in touch.

Links to other websites

We link to agencies and other sources so that you can check each rule yourself. Those websites have their own privacy policies, and we have no control over what they collect once you follow a link.

Children

This site is written for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Your choices

We do not sell or share personal information. If you have emailed us and would like to know what we hold, or want it deleted, write to the address above and we will take care of it. This applies wherever you live, including in states with their own privacy laws such as California.

Changes to this page

If the way the site works changes, we will update this page first. Last updated: October 2026.
